Radiofrequency Microneedling

WHAT IS RF MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling RF combining two methods of microneedling technology and radio frequency, called Ensemble, is now available at The Face Place.

It is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that utilises radiofrequency energy and tiny needles to induce collagen in the skin. It works by creating micro injuries to the skin surface while delivering the radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers.

This dual approach stimulates collagen production, tightens skin and improves overall texture.

HOW DOES RF MICRONEEDLING WORK?

A specially made microneedle is inserted into the dermal layer to transmit radio frequency energy. The heat from this energy causes the coagulation mechanism and the collagen is regenerated in the dermis layer, which is effective in improving skin elasticity, wrinkles, acne and scars. It is possible to customise the treatment by using different heads composed of insulated and non-insulated, opaque tips can relieve patient’s anxiety during the procedure.

The maximum depth of this machine can be up to 4.5mm, so energy can be transferred to the deep part of the tissue.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN AN RF MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT?

The skin can be numbed with a local anaesthetic cream if requested, although it is definitely not necessary to do as the procedure is very tolerable. Skin is cleansed. Treatment is performed over 20-30 minutes. Slight redness and warmth may be felt over the next 24 hours. You will be sent home with some skincare to apply post treatment but otherwise it is just the wait for the fresh skin to come on through!
